  • 08:00 – 08:30 – CONGRESS HALL – BREAKFAST SYMPOSIUM HOSTED BY WÄRTSILÄ – DECARBONISATION OF SHIPPING – A GAMECHANGER FOR THE WAY OF COOPERATION HOSTED BY WÄRTSILÄ

The ZEEDS initiative, Zero Emission Energy Distribution at Sea, came together in 2019 to accelerate the decarbonization of the shipping industry. Our pitch was simple: What if we could establish a chain of clean energy hubs, like a string of pearls, that would allow ships access to a broad range of renewable fuels in busy shipping lanes?

  • 10:00 – 15:00 – MEET LLOYDS REGISTER AT AKVARIET 2 FOR COFFEE AND A TALK ON GREEN CORRIDORS

If you missed LR’s Maritime Decarbonisation Hub’s presentation yesterday and would like to continue the talk about green corridors there is an opportunity to meet up with the presenters from the Maritime Decarbonisation Hub in LR’s coffee room Akvariet 2 from 10-15 today. It is next to the event reception on the right side as you are leaving the Congress Hall.

If you don’t have time you can download the “First movers in shipping’s decarbonisation” report on the post cards on the tables.

  • 13:15 – 13:45 – JOIN DNV IN CONGRESS HALL FOR THEIR MARITIME FORECAST TO 2050 LUNCHEON

The carbon reduction trajectories in shipping are rapidly heading towards zero and the shift to alternative fuels has started, even for deep-sea commercial tonnage.

DNV is inviting to a short event to give some practical advise and to present some solutions to help keep newbuilds and the existing fleet competitive over their lifecycle.
