Two Tugboats Sink from Cement Carrier Collision in Tasmania

There are no reported injuries from a collision that happened January 28 however, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has began an investigation into what caused a cement carrier to make contact with two Tasmania state-owned ports operator TasPorts tugboats that were docked while at the Port of Devonport, Tasmania.

It was reported that the TasPorts tug boats made contact with the Australia-flagged cement carrier Goliath as it was making its way into port.

Last reported both tugboats suffered severe damage and have sunken partially as they are now being secured and monitored by the wharf and TasPorts.
