Target to Ship its Own Products to Stores Amid Shipping Issues

US-based retailer Target which is the eighth largest retailer out of the US, is now the newest company to charter ship its own products to stores in light of the current shipping issues plaguing the globe.

With the Christmas holiday looming, Target has decided to secure that its shelves will be fully stocked in time for the season.

Record lows of liner schedule reliability has disrupted the shipping industry and caused other well-known named brands like Walmart, Ikea and Home Depot to already implement these changes.

Target stated, “As co-managers of the ship, we can avoid delays from additional stops and steer clear of particularly backed-up ports.”
