Helix Energy Solutions Wins Contract in New Zealand
Decommissioning Continues in New Zealand with Helix Contract Win
Now entering the third phase of its continued decommissioning of the Tui Oil Field, the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has awarded a contract to Helix Energy Solutions to continue the process.
The 2019-built well intervention semisub unit Q7000 will be used by Helix in the process to lead the proper plugging and abandonment of the wells.
The work is expected to begin in 2022.
