Construction Begins for Three New Automated Berths at Port of Yantian

Construction has begun on a $2.28 billion project in the east operation area at the port of Yantian in southern China to build phase 1 of the project which consists of three 200,000 tonne-class automated container berths which will have the capacity to annually handle 3m teu.

In addition to the new berths, the east operation area will develop and promote more technology based developments of network security systems, 5G infrastructure, blockchain technology, AI an more.
