New Surcharges to Take Affect in February at CMA CGM

New surcharges have been announced by CMA CGM to take affect mid-February 2022 for sailings specific to Latin America and the Caribbean area.

Beginning on February 13, the French shipping line will impose a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of $175 per TEU to be applied for dry cargo on sailings from East Coast ports of Mexico to Central and South America, Caribbean, Windward and Leeward.

On February 15, an additional PSS of $50 will be applied for reefers and dry containers for sailings to and from Caribbean to Latin America.

Both Peak Season Surcharges will reportedly have short-term contracts.
