Injuries Reported After Fishing

In the Gulf of Tonkin, northeast of the Con Co Island, a fishing vessel and a Vietnamese containership collided which caused the fishing vessel to sink. 

At around 10:00am on Aug. 14, the Gemadept-owned 1,060 teu boxship Green Pacific collided with TTH 92206TS fishing vessel.  After the vessel sank,  six injured fishermen were rescued with two still reported missing. 

The Green Pacific reported no injuries as it was redirected to Cua Viet to deposit the rescued fishermen who were then taken to Hue Central Hospital for emergency treatment.
